Alum powder is an active ingredient of natural origin that has astringent, deodorant and purifying properties

Astringent: tightens the pores of the skin

Purifying: avoids bacterial proliferation, responsible for bad odors

Deodorant: Regulator of perspiration

Usage: Powdered alum stone is often used in deodorant and aftershave products.

Recommended rate: 0.5 to 5%

Soluble in water

Note that Alum stone powder tends to lower the pH. It is advisable to check the pH of your aqueous preparations and to adjust it if necessary with an alkaline pH corrector such as baking soda.
