Cocoa Butter

Extraction: This cocoa butter is obtained from the cocoa tree. Cocoa butter is extracted, processed and refined, making it an almost white scent free butter.

Features: Cocoa butter is solid at room temperature and melts on contact with the skin. Cocoa butter is one of the most stable known butters and it contains natural antioxidants that prevent rancidity.

Common Uses: Cocoa Butter is used to heal and moisturize skin that has been exposed to the elements. It also helps reduce the formation of stretch marks during pregnancy by keeping the skin supple. It makes a wonderful ingredient in lotion bars, lip balms, body butters and soaps. Cocoa Butter is one of the most stable fats known and it contains natural antioxidants that prevent rancidity. 

This butter should be stored in a cool dark place and has a shelf-life of 1 year when stored properly.
