Manjishta powder is obtained from the roots of the Indian plant Rubia cordifolia, more commonly known as Indian madder. It is part of the family Rubiaceae and rubia, whose name comes from the red pigments that can be extracted.

Powder Manjishta Rubia cordifolia is traditionally used in Ayurveda, is a powder which also serves as a hair dye and skin care.

Manjishta powder is known for its anti-aging and astringent action. It refines skin texture and helps eliminate pimples, wrinkles, spots, blackheads, redness and discoloration of the skin.

Caution: used alone, it can color your skin. Make a paste by mixing the Manjishta powder with rhassoul or clay and a little water. Apply to face and leave for 10 to 15 minutes then rinse with water.

Incorporated into your soaps or creams, it brings a nice pink hue, red to burgundy in addition to providing softness to your skin.
