METHOD FOR THE CONFECTION OF YOUR NATURAL SOAP

Making your own soaps with these natural soap base is simple and fun and you have the opportunity to choose your favorite ingredients. Oils, butters, natural fragrances, colors, herbs ... Let your imagination go.

Prepare the necessary equipment in advance: water bath, preferably wooden utensil, mold, oil, butter, dye, fragrance and any other ingredients you wish to add.
Put a pot of water on top of the fire in which you will put over a smaller saucepan (water bath) Note that you can melt your base in the microwave. Do not overheat ...
Cut in small square the desired amount of natural base, it will melt faster if you cut it.
Melt your soap in a water bath by stirring gently, the soap should become liquid. Add your butter (optional) to melt (do not boil)
Remove from heat and add your vegetable oil (optional) and stir again. Note: use between 5% and 10% of butter and oil in relation to the volume of your base so that your soap is not too soft.
Add your dye, oxide, mica, clay or natural plant-based dye. The quantity goes according to the desired color. Stir again. (Note: Dilute the dye in a small amount of your base, oil or water before incorporating it into your soap)
Add your favorite fragrances: scented oils or essential oils (about 10ml per pound of soap) Follow your pif
Mix it all again and pour into your molds, if your base has hardened too much, melt and mold again. Wait 24 to 48 hours then unmold.

Keep the soap in a cool, dry place away from light and heat.
