Once dissolved in water, sodium percarbonate gradually loses its activity, so there is no need to store sodium percarbonate solutions for the long term. Prepare your solutions when needed.

It is also possible to prepare powdery mixtures based on sodium percarbonate, which will not be dissolved until the moment of use.

Sodium percarbonate is often used to replace bleach, which is not very ecological. It can also be used in place of borax '(sodium borate), often used in traditional housekeeping but controversial because of its potential harmful effects.

The sodium percarbonate has all the properties of soda crystals, degreasing, increases the pH, softens the water, increases the efficiency of detergents, but in addition releases in contact with water hydrogen peroxide known for its power stain remover, whitener and sanitizer. It is therefore a very useful product for household maintenance, and especially for laundry.
