Tapioca Powder 

Tapioca Powder Food Grade.

This powder is the starch obtained from cassava roots, extracted during the production of flour.
Tapioca is one of the purest forms of food starch and is a by-product of the production of cassava flour from cassava roots (aka yucca or manioc), the tubers of a woody shrub native to 'South America.

Once the cassava plants are harvested, their roots are treated to remove the toxins naturally present in the plant.

Tapioca has a strong gelling power, which makes it very useful as a thickening agent. It is opaque but becomes translucent after hydration.

Tapioca starch is often used as a talc substitute and feels smooth on the skin. Tapioca starch is often used as an additive in bath product formulas like bath powders, bubble bath powders, bath bombs and more. It is used to add softness, help absorb scents, and slowly release absorbed scent into bath water. A great substitute for cornstarch or arrowroot powder.

INCI: Manihot esculenta

Storage: Store in a cool, dark, dry place in a tightly closed container.

Soluble in water.

Recommended uses:

Add to aqueous or heating/cooling phase of formulation. Heat stability 40°C You can also add Tapioca Powder after emulsification.
