The new Melt & Pour Syndet base is 100% soap-free, allowing you to expand your range of body, hair and face products. Suitable for sensitive skin, Syndet soap base is pH balanced, SLS-free, SLES-free and provides adequate lather for gentle yet effective cleansing.

The innovative Melt & Pour Syndet base was created with the environmentally conscious consumer in mind. The ingredients used in the Syndet base produce an adequate foam with small bubbles. Melt & Pour Syndet Base is highly customizable and is recommended for makers, personal care brands and crafters. Simply add your favorite additives, botanicals and scents to create luxurious cleansing bars!

It is recommended that the amount of additives used in the formula does not exceed 3%. This level would include up to 2% fragrance. Stability testing may be required to ensure compatibility. Due to the glycerin present in the base, this base may be subject to evaporation.

Please note: When making soaps, it is good to remember that Melt & Pour bases contain water as part of the formula. So if left exposed to the atmosphere, the water evaporates and the bar soap shrinks. We recommend fully wrapping the ENTIRE bar of soap as soon as it is poured and cooled - this should minimize and eliminate any shrinkage.

- A two pound brick can make between 10 and 20 soaps, depending on the size of soap you want to make.

METHOD FOR MAKING YOUR MELT & POUR SOAPS

Making your own soaps with Melt & Pour bases is super easy and fun, and you can choose your favorite ingredients. Oils, butters, fragrances, dyes, herbs…. Let your imagination run wild.

STEPS FOR PREPARING YOUR “MELT & POUR” BASE

Prepare the necessary equipment in advance: bain-marie, preferably wooden utensil, mold, oil, butter, coloring, fragrance and any other ingredients you wish to add.
Put on the fire a pan of water in which you will put a smaller pan on top (Bain marie)
Cut the desired amount of Melt & Pour base into small squares, it will melt faster if you cut it.
Melt your soap in a bain-marie, stirring gently, the soap should become liquid.
Add your additives (3% of the total recommended weight)
Mix everything again and pour into your molds, If your base has hardened too much, melt again and mold. Wait 24 to 48 hours then unmold.
Here are your soaps are ready to be used.
